
Prof. Cui Lijuan, Ph.D. supervisor. She has been engaged in research of wetland ecological process and mechanism, wetland conservation and restoration technologies. Focusing on the key issues of national wetland conservation and restoration, she established a fundamental wetland restoration paradigm, developed a close-to-nature wetland restoration technology system, making outstanding contributions to the scientific restoration of wetland in China.
Prof. Cui Lijuan has taken a leading role in a number of key projects on R&D program of wetlands conservation and restoration. She has published nearly 300 academic papers as the first and corresponding author and 14 monographs. She obtained 27 authorized invention patents and took the lead in formulating 12 industrial and local standards, providing core technical support for wetland conservation and restoration. Prof. Cui Lijuan serves as the Deputy Director General of the Chinese Science Writers Association. She is the first Chinese expert to be elected as member of the Scientific and Technical Review Panel of the Ramsar Convention and serves as the leader of the working group. She also won the Merit Award of the Society of Wetland Scientists (the first Chinese winner of this Award).
