Brief Introduction:

The project is co-funded by MOFCOM and UNIDO with a grant of US $ 1 million to realize the target of SDG 1, 9 and 17 in Chengbu County, Hunan Province, P.R. China. It is composed of 4 sub-projects or targets: a. to facilitate the bamboo processing technology transfer and application, to improve the productivity and quality of products, and to diversify bamboo products; b. to improve the dairy product quality and brand-building of the Nanshan Pasture; c. to improve the innovative design capability of minority group arts and handicrafts; and d. to improve e-commerce development.

Project has completed the baseline survey of bamboo industry, formulated the strategic  10-year planning of bamboo industry development (2021-2030), trained a total of 152 persons from the local bamboo industry, built up a 1.5 ha shoot-oriented demonstration plantation of square bamboo, provided the technical consultation and service in shoot-directed bamboo plantation management , value-added shoot processing, eco-friendly charcoal production, purchased 2 sets of equipment to enhance local shoot processing level for a local shoot factory.
