Brief Introduction:
This is a cooperation project between International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and the Research Institute of Forestry Information and Policy (RIFIP) of Chinese Academy of Forestry. The project put the focus on the China-African Forest Governance Learning Platform for promoting the legal timber trade through multi-stakeholder dialogues and exchanges, with the purpose to improve forest governance capacity in Africa and achieve the goals of combating illegal logging and ameliorate the community economic development. Dialogues, communication and capacity building activities have been jointly conducted in 5 African countries of Cameroon, Mozambique, Uganda, DRC and Zambia.
