Prof. Zhou Yonghong is the director of the Institute of Forestry Chemical Industry, CAF, Doctoral Supervisor, Chief Scientist of CAF, Chinese Second Level Researcher, and State Council Government Special Allowance Expert. He has been committed to the research on green chemical transformation of forest biomass such as pine resin, oil and lignin for a long time, and has made a series of innovative research achievements in lignin flame retardant phenolic foam, oil based polyester polyether polyol, bio based plasticizer and super hydrophobic materials, oil based 3D printing materials, etc. He has undertaken and led more than 20 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, including National Key R&D Program 12th Five, 13th Five, and 14th Five projects, 863 Plan, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Fund, National Forestry Administration's introduction of international advanced forestry science and technology (948) projects, and more. Among them, bio based polyurethane foam thermal insulation materials and lignin modified phenolic foam materials have been industrialized, mainly used in air conditioning ducts, refrigerators, external wall insulation and other fields. Received National Science and Technology Progress Second Prizes, National Forestry Administration Science and Technology Progress First, Second, and Third Prizes, China Federation of Commerce Science and Technology First Prize, Liang Xi Invention Patent First Prize, Liang Xi Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, and Jiangsu Province Science and Technology First and Second Prizes respectively; Obtained 3 international patents and over 50 national invention patents; Published over 300 academic papers, including over 150 indexed by SCI and EI.
