Main work

Prof. Shen Kuizhong's main research interests focus on key technologies for high yield pulping, green separation technology of fiber components, and manufacturing technology of high purity dissolved pulp, etc. Participated in more than 20 international scientific and technological cooperation (including UNDP, UNESCO and EU), national and provincial level scientific and technological projects. Systematically revealing the strengthening impregnation softening mechanism of low-quality fiber raw materials, innovating the energy-saving refining technologies of chemimechanical pulping. Significant progress has been made in key technologies such as biomass biorefinery, fiber processing and modification, high yield pulp bleaching, and comprehensive utilization of fiber raw materials. Published over 90 papers as the first or corresponding author (including 21 SCI papers and EI papers), granted 5 national and provincial science and technology awards and authorized 20 invention patents. The research achievements have been applied to the production of more than 30 large and medium-sized pulp and paper enterprises in more than ten provinces.
