Main work
Prof. Sun Kang specialized in the theoretical research, technology development and achievement transformation of bio-based advanced carbon materials, focusing on the research and development of advanced carbon materials such as energy storage, catalysis, and high-adsorption activated carbon. He has presided over more than 20 national key R&D projects, national funds and other projects, published more than 56 research papers in journals such as Angew, Applied Catalysis B, and Small, formulated 8 national and industry standards, and authorized 11 invention patents. He won the first prize of Henan Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 1st), the first prize of Liang Xi Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 2nd), the second prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 2nd), and the "Golden Bridge Award" of China Technology Market Association (ranked 1st), and served as the deputy secretary-general of the Activated Carbon Branch of China Forest Products Industry Association and the deputy secretary-general of the Agricultural Power Branch of China Energy Research Society.
