Prof. Sun Yunjuan has been engaged in research on biomass thermo-chemical conversion technology for more than 20 years, mainly conducting basic and applied research on biomass gasification to prepare clean gas, bio-gas catalytic synthesis of liquid fuel, biomass catalytic gasification and tar catalytic cracking, biomass and coal co-pyrolysis and co-gasification, tar based thermosetting resin preparation, and efficient conversion of organic solid waste. She has studied the basic theory of the thermo-chemical conversion process of agricultural and forestry biomass, built efficient pyrolysis and gasification devices for agricultural and forestry residues of different scales, and established a new method for pyrolysis and gasification process. She participated in the engineering and promotion demonstration project of biomass pyrolysis and gasification technology, created an advanced model of diversified high-value utilization of "generation, heating, gas supply, and co-generation of heat and charcoal", and Which achieved significant economic, social, and ecological benefits. She has undertaken 10 projects, including National Natural Science Founation of China and National Key Research and Development Program. She has finished more than 20 articles as the first author or corresponding author, applied for more than 10 patents, and won 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and 4 provincial and ministerial level awards.
