Main work

Prof. Yu Pengtao does research on the interaction between forest vegetation structure and hydrological processes and the response of multiple service functions in Ningxia and other dryland regions. Her relevant results have been applied to the "Frontiers of Ecological Hydrology" and other important consulting reports, directly promoting the strategy on forestation by water in dryland regions. In some extent, she is leading the theorical change of forest hydrology research, and its shift into forest ecohydrology.

Now, Prof. Yu Pengtao is also serving as the deputy coordinator of the Forest Water Supply and Water Quality working group of the International Forest Union (IUFRO), and the member of the Forest and water and soil Task Force.
