Main work
Prof. Zhang Guowu is deputy director and researcher of Institute of Fast-growing Trees, Chinese Academy of Forestry. Standing director of Economic Forest Branch of Chinese Forestry Society, managing director of Eucalyptus Professional Committee of Chinese Forestry Society. He has obtained the professional qualification of senior landscape designer and the qualification of grade II project manager of urban landscaping. He is the academic leader of ornamental plants and flowers research and the master tutor of Guangdong Ocean University. He has presided over 11 forestry research projects, including 2 sub-projects of the "11th Five-Year" National Science-technology support projects, 5 research projects from Guangdong provincial level, 2 research projects from the Chinese Academy of Forestry Fund, etc.
For more than a decade, Prof. Zhang Guowu has devoted himself to the research of Jacaranda landscape tree species. Mainly involved in 15 national and provincial projects, research tree species involving Chinese fir, camellia oleifera, phoenix suzuki, etc. For eight consecutive years, he has presided over the operation and management of South China Experiment Nursery, covering a series of engineering technologies such as seedling cultivation, garden plant cultivation. He has published more than 40 academic papers, including 22 are the first author (corresponding author) and won a second prize of provincial and ministerial science and technology Progress. Determine 3 scientific and technological achievements, participated in the compilation of 2 monographs, won 7 awards, obtained 3 invention patents, 3 winning papers, and trained 12 graduate students.
