Main work
Prof. Zhang Meng is the director of science and technology department of the Institute of Forestry Chemical Industry, CAF, Doctoral Supervisor, editorial board member of journals such as Polyurethane Industry, Biomass Chemical Engineering, vice chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Association of Affiliated Research Institutes. He was selected into the National Forest and grass Science and Technology Innovation Youth Top Talent Program, Jiangsu Province 333 high-level talent training project and Chinese Academy of Forestry Outstanding Youth Training Program, and won the titles of Deputy Manager of Science and technology of Jiangsu Province.
Prof. Zhang Meng mainly engaged in the green chemical transformation of forest biomass such as rosin and vegetable oil to prepare bio-based chemicals and functional polymer materials. Broke through the core theories and key technologies of green functional modification of biomass, synergistic flame retardant, crosslinked enhancement, and dynamic reversible network construction, and create functional bio-based polymer materials with high flame retardancy, low thermal conductivity, recyclable and self-healing properties; Formed an industrialization technology regarding bio-based polyol and structural flame-retardant polyurethane, with the properties of products reaching or exceedeing similar petrochemical products and the relevant results being selected into the national "13th Five-Year" scientific and technological innovation achievement exhibition.
Prof. Zhang Meng has received 4 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, and 4 sub-projects of the national key research and development plan; won the first Prize of Liangxi Forestry Technology Invention (second place), the second prize of Science and Technology Progress (third place), the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of Jiangsu Province (third place), and the first prize of Science and Technology Progress of China Commercial Federation (seventh place); Published more than 60 papers as the first author or corresponding author, including more than 40 SCI papers; Invited to write 2 chapters of English monograph; The first inventor of granted 11 international and national invention patents.
