Main work
Prof. Liu Xiaojin has been working on breeding and efficient cultivation technology of tropical tree species (Aquilaria, Dalbergia, Santalum etc.), also serviced as the general secretary of the Precious Tree Species Branch of the Chinese Forestry Society, the general secretary of the National Innovation Alliance of Precious Tree Species Industry, and the young editorial board member of China Urban Forestry, Journal of Tropical Crops etc. He is specialized on tree physiology, environmental stress and responses, tree functional traits as well as heartwood formation.
Prof. Liu Xiaojin had carried out more than 10 research projects or funds such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the promotion of scientific and technological achievements of the State Forestry and Grass Administration, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong province, the sub-projects of National Key Research and Development plan, the science and technology innovation of the Guangdong Forestry Administration, the cooperation between provincial and provincial institutes of the Zhejiang Forestry Administration, and the fundamental research funds for the central Non-profit research institution of Chinese Academy of Forestry were presided. 33 papers as the first author or corresponding author were published, 4 national invention patents have been authorized as the first author, 10 achievements were certified, 2 industry standards have been formulated and 1 monograph has been published (deputy editor). As an important participant, won the first grade of 13th Liangxi Forestry Science and Technology Award and Guangdong Agricultural technology Promotion Award.
