Main work

Prof. Luan Qifu and his group constructed high generation breeding groups of southern pines (Pinus elliottii and P. taeda) in China, and established markers (genes) assisted selection (MAS) breeding technology system using the whole genome association and selection (GWAS and GS) research methods. The research work has created a pine breeding innovation chain of "theory-method-technology-varieties and their promotion". More than 20 peer-review papers published, and most of the papers were indexed by SCI and collected in WOS. They have won 6 awards or achievements, including second prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award and second prize of Science and Technology Award of Chinese Academy of Forestry.
