Main work
Prof. Ma Haibin focused on the study of tropical forest pathology and application of microorganism. His research designs diseases such as eucalyptus bacteria wilt, pine wilt nematode, casuarina bacteria wilt, etc. He discovered 1 new record leaf disease on mangrove in China and published over 20 papers and 2 monographs, such as Plant Disease, BMC Plant Biology, and Scientia Silvae Sinicae. He undertook 14 scientific research projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, and hosted the preparation of one local standard in Guangdong Province.
