Main work

Main achievements: the first author (corresponding author) Prof. Peng Yan has published 32 papers, including 6 papers included in SCI and 18 papers included in Chinese core journals. He participated in the preparation of 3 monographs and 2 forestry standard. He has won 10 awards for his achievements and 5 invention patents. He presided over the planning and design of 4 forest nurseries.

Prof. Peng Yan's research field includes two aspects:

  • Tree seedlings: The "theory and technology of industrial seedling cultivation of forest trees" were systematically studied, and "new theory of balanced root seedling rising", "new technology of environmentally friendly organic substrate processing technology", "new ideas of environmental protection organic substrate evaluation system" and "new method of environmentally friendly biodegradable seedling container" were proposed.

  • Non-timber forest-based economy. It has introduced special resources for both medicinal and edible purposes, such as Serenoa Repens, Plukenetia spp. and Cnidoscolus chayamansa, selected and bred varieties suitable for under-forest cultivation in southern China, and developed efficient cultivation technologies such as stand canopy density, cultivation density, pruning and fertilization.
