Main work
Prof. He Guimei has more than 24 years' research and field experience focus on greening technology demonstration and promotion, forestry carbon sequestration and peony breeding etc. She has participated in more than 50 projects from different sources, obtained the inter-section distant hybrid individuals of peony and somatic embryos induced by embryo culture for the first time in China, promoted the establishment of the Beijing Forestry Carbon Work Office, and established a sound working system of action policies, technologies, project demonstration and public welfare fund management; as well as served for Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform to promote the development of Beijing-Hebei cross-regional carbon trading market.
In recent years, Prof. He Guimei has successfully planned and implemented the Da anshiguang Forest Town project in Wuyi, Fujian Province, the forestry carbon sink pilot construction project in Beijing Sub-center (Tongzhou District) and in Beijing Shisanling Forest Farm, respectively. She has rich practical experiences in the whole chain of forestry carbon sink project development management, validation and certification, trading and promotion, etc.
Up to now, Prof. He Guimei has totally 4 provincial forestry carbon sink guidelines, 3 invention patents, 4 books and 30+ papers have been published as the key author.
