Main work

Doctoral supervisor and chief expert. Candidate of the second "Baiganwan Talent Project" of National Forestry and Grassland Administration, secretary general of National Standardization Technical Committee for Desertification Control, secretary   general and vice president of Gobi Control Committee of National Sand Control and Sand Industry Society. Engaged in soil and water conservation and desertification control work for a long time.

Opening the Gobi research, proposed the Gobi classification benchmark for the first time, compiled the first distribution map of the Chinese Gobi, advocated the establishment of the Gobi control committee; Established the "sky-space-ground" integrated desertification monitoring method, and developed the corresponding platform; Improved the desertification zoning and mapping method; Participated in the study on ecological protection and regional development strategy of Great Dunhuang region, The second phase planning idea of sand source control project of Beijing and Tianjin, The third scientific expedition in Xinjiang, and ecological high quality development of the Yellow  River Basin.

Rank No.1, obtained 2 provincial awards, hosted 28 projects (including: 4 national natural science funds, 1 The third scientific expedition in Xinjiang of Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 The National Key Research and Development Program, 1 Sino-Finland cooperation program, 2 returnees start projects, etc.); published 107 papers, 23 major publications, 3 industry standards, 5 achievements.
