Main work

Prof. Chen Shaoxiong is deputy director and researcher of Institute of Fast-growing Trees, Chinese Academy of Forestry. Deputy Director of Eucalyptus Branch of Chinese Forestry Society, Secretary General of China Eucalyptus Industry Technology Strategic Innovation Alliance, editor-in-chief of Eucalyptus Technology. For a long time, he has been engaged in the research of directional cultivation technology of artificial forest, sustainable management technology of artificial forest, evaluation and benefit analysis of artificial forest. In charge of the national 13th and 14th Five-Year key research and development Plan eucalyptus project, he innovated the theory of directional cultivation of eucalyptus large-diameter timber, quantified for the first time the contribution rate of tree species selection, site control, density and fertilization and other technical measures to large-diameter timber cultivation, standardized the cultivation area and scope of major eucalyptus tree species, and systematically established the site index table and material selection criteria of eucalyptus large-diameter timber. Several cultivation models of large diameter wood based on site index were proposed. The relationship model between fertilizer amount of a large number of elements and site index was established. Developed organic and inorganic eucalyptus special fertilizer and standardized fertilizer technology, widely used in forestry production practice, filled the gap in domestic large-diameter eucalyptus cultivation technology, the overall technical level reached the international advanced level. Developed 5 industry standards and published 6 monographs; He has published more than 130 papers and won the second prize of provincial and ministerial science and technology Progress for 6 times. Determine 3 scientific and technological achievements, form 4 core technologies, and fill 1 domestic gap. In the past five years, a total of 2,333 hectares of eucalyptus new technology demonstration forest has been built, and 15,940 hectares of radiation promotion has been achieved, with a new output value of 686 million yuan and a new profit of 358 million yuan.
