Prof. Li Gaiyun is the director of the division of wood chemistry and application. She has long been engaged in the research of wood chemistry and utilization, and recently she mainly carried out the quality evaluation of fragrant wood, and development of extract-based functional composite materials.
She chaired 1 "948" project of the State Forestry Administration, 2 projects of public welfare projects of the forestry industry, 1 key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 13th Five-Year Plan, and 14th Five-Year Plan of National key research and development and a total of more than twenty projects.
She published more than 120 papers, obtained 35 invention patents, drafted one national standard and five forestry professional standards, and won a first prize, and a third prize of Liangxi Forestry Science and Technology.
