Main work

Prof. Duan Xinfang has been dedicated to the research on standardization and industrial policy in the wood industry since 1991. Leading and participating in over 40 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, including the "13th Five-Year" key R&D project "Common Technology Standards for Quality Improvement of Modern Processing of Important Agricultural and Forestry Products" sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Published 16 monographs, such as "Guide to Wood Industry Standardization Work", "Guide to Transformation and Upgrading Standards for the Wood Industry", "Standard System for Circular Economy of China's Forestry Industry and Its Green Product Evaluation Standards", and "Wood Trade and Its Processing and Utilization Technology in Russia". Holds 5 invention patents and was responsible for the development, revision, and release of 4 international standards, including "ISO 13601-11:2017 Physical and Mechanical Properties of Wood-Part 11: Determination of Resistance to Impact Indentation" and "ISO 8775:2020 Veneer-Terms, Definitions, Physical Characteristics and Defects (Revision)". Led the development and release of 20 national and forestry industry standards such as "Green Product Evaluation-Particleboard and Wood Flooring", and participated in the development and revision of another 20 standards.

  • Forestry Public Welfare Industry Research Special Project by the State Forestry Administration(Project No. 201204707), "Development of 4 ISO international standards for plywood and solid wood flooring", January 2012-December 2015.
