Main work

After graduating from Chinese Academy of Forestry, Prof. Zhuo Renying had worked at Subtropical Forest Research Institute of China Academy of Forestry until now, and main interesting in tree abiotic molecular and physiology, bamboo molecular breeding. He has constructed a tissue culture system for the anthers of Ma bamboo and immature embryos of moso bamboo, a culture system for immature embryos of Ma bamboo, then the transgenic system for bamboo had been constructed, that breaking through the difficulties of bamboo transgenic breeding and providing methods for genetic improvement of bamboo plants. He has published more than 100 papers in Tree Physiology, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, Bioinformatics, Environmental Science & Technology, Plant Biotechnology Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials and so on. Prof. Zhuo Renying has been working as a reviewer for Journal of hazardous materials, Plant Biotechnology Journal, New Phytologist, Environmental Science & Technology, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety and more than 20 Journals. He has successively won one second prize and one third prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Award (All as the third), and 5 invention patents have been authorized.
