The Experimental Center of Tropical Forestry (ECTF), Chinese Academy of Forestry (CAF), was established on the national forestry scientific experiment, science and technology innovation, and public science education. The center primarily carries out scientific experiments in tropical and south subtropical forests, assembles forest technological achievements, and provides scientific support and demonstration for forest management and ecological construction. The research fields include the collection, storage, evaluation and utilization of forest germplasm resources, the cultivation of precious tree species, the plantation ecosystem service function, the vegetation restoration of rocky-desertified area, the modern forest resource management, and etc.
